Do you like Denon AVR-1611 7.1 Channel A/V Home Theater Multi-Source / Multi-Zone Receiver with HDMI 1.4a supporting 1080p and 3D (Black)

Denon AVR-1611

I wanted a receiver that I could rely on for the next decade. After reading reviews of occasional failures of receivers (Onkyo, Sony, et cetera) that otherwise perform well, I bought this Denon receiver. Note that I could not find a review that mentioned a failure of a Denon product. This receiver sounds great, and works seamlessly with my TV and Blu-Ray player. I love its CEC functionality - when I'm done watching a Blu-Ray through the Denon receiver, I merely power down the TV, and the Denon receiver shuts off. CEC does this without having to configure any universal remote controls. The automated Audyssey speaker calibration and setup worked like a charm. I'm using an powered subwoofer, for which Denon wisely ... Denon AVR-2311CI

This is my third Denon receiver. I switched from a highly rated THX Ultra Certified JVC flagship receiver that was a more expensive unit to this one because I wanted HDMI. The sound for movies is very good. Denon is known for that smooth sound which is not high pitched. Music sounds great too but I have good speakers, front speakers are Boston Acoustics VR 960, which is really the key to good sound. I also have an OPPO DV-980H universal player for music and it is an excellent player for all audio sources. Automatic speaker set up was a bit of a problem with this receiver. I tried the Audyssey which is the automatic speaker set up device but ... I like this Denon AVR4310CI 7.1-Channel Multi-Zone Home Theater Receiver with Networking Capability and 1080p HDMI Connectivity

Denon AVR4310CI

This is to share my experience with a new 4310CI for a week:PRICE - I just upgraded to this 4310CI from an old Denon AVR3801 which has 7x110W. From all the articles I've read which indicated 4310CI is more likely an upgrade of the 3808CI instead of 4308CI, and price was raised form the 1699 for 3808CI to the 1999 MSRP. However, I had the 4310 for 1248 ([...].) I paid ~800 for the 3801 in 2001. I think 1248 for the 4310CI is alright as of this time.AUDIO - 1) In stereo mode, I cannot tell of an improvement immediately over the old 3801. Hey Denon AVR-4311CI 9.2 Channel Network Multi-Room Home Theater Receiver with HDMI 1.4a

Denon AVR-4311CI

History, I was using an old Kenwood for the last 15 years, Dolby pro Logic, it was running with 120 watts per channel. I know wattage isn't everything, but for us non audio experts its a good point of reference. I will do my best to be short, there is a lot to say about a system like this. The is a wonderful sounding system and is certainly over kill for almost everyone, and if not, your probably hooking up external amps to it and making it over kill. It has more wattage then what I can use, on the volume scale -80 to +18, I'm running -50 to about -30 most of the time. The system ... This brand new Denon DVP-602CI Digital Video Processor and HDMI Switcher

I ordered & received this 2 weeks ago to help improve the video quality in my living room H.T. but had no luck with it and had to return itI HAD ATTEMPTED to run it through a Yamaha RX-V2065 receiver and it wouldn't "handshake" with the receiver - if i ran it directly though to the TV (Sony Bravia 700 series 60" LED) it worked but if i tried running it through the receiver i got no audio or video - double & triple checked all connections, even used different HDMI cables from a different manufacturerI DID contact both Yamaha & Denon - Yamaha told me that there were NO settings that should need to be adjusted in the receiver ... Yeah Denon AVR3312CI Integrated Network A/V Surround Receiver

Denon AVR3312CI

The Denon AVR-3312 CI is well worth the money. I'm pleased with the sound quality and features offered with the receiver. I tested the audio on my current small speakers that took from my Logitech Speaker System Z906 (67W Satellites). I was able to hear a great deal more detail to all the music, movies, and streamed music than I had before on my older Onkyo 7.1 system using the same speaker setup. The Airplay Iphone Denon app was fun to use on the receiver. The only Con is if your music is in a deep file directory on your Iphone it does cause the app to freeze. Denon AVR-891

As an amateur reviewer who finds himself reviewing a number of products, I am always torn as to how I should perceive the value of equipment relative to the MSRP or the price I paid. Some manufacturers use MSRP's as quick value engines in allowing retailers to show significant savings below the MSRP. This issue recently resurfaced in conjunction with a planned review of the Denon AVR891, which I recently purchased at a significant discount. The Denon AVR891 retails for $799, putting it in what I would consider in the thick of mid-level receivers. I am not a technical guru, or some home theater fanatic that has to have everything just perfect and calibrated to the upteenth degree. I do not get paid to write reviews. I have this connected in our main TV watching room. 99% of the time, it is playing sound and video from either a Tivo or a Mac Mini that is setup to play our DVD movies along with video sources such as Hulu, Netflix, and the iTunes store rentals. Buying cheap Denon AVR-2311CI 7.2 Channel A/V Home Theater Multi-Source/Multi-Zone Receiver with HDMI 1.4a Supporting 1080p and 3D (Black)

Denon AVR-2311CI

From the initial Power-Up to now the receiver has worked flawlessly. It replaced a Denon AVR-3806 because it has 3D capabilities and many more HDMI inputs available. We recently got a Panasonic VT25 HDTV set which has these features so we needed a *newer* Receiver. I was going to order the Pioneer VSX-32 but saw too many problems (power-down probs) on the Oppo-93 Forum. One thing the Denon has (which works very well, I might add) is the HD radio tuner. Best price for Denon AVR590 5.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver with 1080p HDMI Connectivity

Denon AVR590

Well, I finally decided to upgrade my great-sounding but HDMI-less Marantz receiver to something that would play nice with my PS3 and Wii and upconverting Oppo player. I wanted this, but I did not have a fortune to spend.I checked out the 'budget' receivers from Yamaha, Harman/Kardon, Onkyo, Pioneer, and even refurbished Marantz. I did weeks of research; comparing spec sheets repeatedly, always price shopping, comparing each one's auto speaker setup, and build quality(I was spoiled by the Marantz). I've been looking for a better set of earbuds for my iphone for some time, but I really want there to be a mic so that I can use hands-free without having to switch to a different set of headphones to take a call. I'm using the stock iPhone earbuds as my reference, and most of the music is in MP3 format (so lower expectations accordingly) but encoded at 256kbps using a LAME encoder. Denon S-5BD

This system looks great and the concept of combining a high-end receiver with a Blue Ray was the main attraction to purchase this unit. The set up was pretty simple and intuitive. The sound is great. I like being able to control the iPod directly from the onscreen menus. However, I am very disappointed with the performance of the disk player. The system is extremely slow to respond when I insert a disk (DVD or Blue Ray). It takes 30 seconds to 1 full minute to start playing the disk (and sometimes not at all - unit freezes up). Where can I get this Denon AVR-591 5.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver with HDMI 1.4a (Black)

Denon AVR-591

I've been listening to a great podcast about audio and video technologies and found that this was the least expensive of the Denon models that offered the Audyssey MultiEQ room equalization technology. I don't have a large room for my home theater. Actually it's a little out of the ordinary in that I have the orientation in a non-ideal setup. I wasn't sure how this room equalization technology would work in my setup and I wasn't sure that I would get incredible sound from a unit this inexpensive but I decided to try it anyway.
